For Richmond apartments, how much does you trust online reviews?

… pop up shortly after they’d get a handful of negative reviews when lots of leases ended and weren’t renewed. They have sister properties in the city under SteelHead management. Very kind people but like their buildings, they make you feel like you’re taken care of rather than actually taking care of you.

Any property with SteelHead Management in Scott’s Addition! They have a new one opening that’s just a 5 minute walk to Scott’s called The Alder on Dabney, just not opening until October for move-ins. Scott’s Addition is the “new downtown” of Richmond, everything’s in walking distance. Bars, restaurants, cary street isn’t far, and museum district is also close

That’s wild. I rented with PRG and had 6 caged animals, no charges. Then Steelhead, same thing. Specifically The Scout, one of their other properties said no.

Good and Bad Realty Companies/Landlords/Apartment Complexes Megathread

On the opposite side. The Preserve, run by Steelhead/Spy rock was a generally great place to live while I was there for 1.5 years. Every single issue with the appt/complex was addressed within 24-48 hours, faster if it constituted an emergency. They front desk staff were always actually helpful and not dicks.

We have a lot of posts about who not to rent from, who's a good property manager around here?

I’ve rented with Steelhead at Symbol for the last 4ish years and it really hasn’t been a hassle and the place is very nice and we’ll taken care of. Just the raising rent almost every year is the only complaint.
