All of the apartments had brick walls? And not separated by dry wall (idk what the proper name is). I lived at southern stove lofts for 7 years and the outside walls were brick, but the apartments were divided by drywall

My suggestions would be: Monroe Properties (I had a good experience but years ago) Metro Properties (fair experience but also years ago) Southern Stove Lofts (lived there before buying my house, great as far as renting in Richmond seems to go) There will always be landlord/renting horror stories but at least you can start with these!
