What would you call this area?

First (and I don't mean this to sound patronizing), I appreciate the respectful back and forth, too many people on Reddit have a hard time doing that nicely. I lived about a quarter of a mile from the site of West Broad Village, lived there for 19 years (1995-2014). I am guessing you are correct as well, in that I think the Liesfield's owned a lot of property in the area, including the stretch just south of Broad St, bounded to the east by an apartment complex (Trails at Short Pump), and to the
