I think I’ve checked out The Locks site. They seemed nice. I think the reviews of being so close to Shockoe scared me off, but as a non native, I don’t know otherwise lol Your advice is helpful.

Apartment hunting in RVA

Yeah, that's anywhere though. Manchester area is nice, but to live peacefully you'll have to pay more. Look into The Locks, those are very nice and have great reviews if you can afford them. Great location too.

Trail Lofts Apartments (Shockoe Bottom)

The Locks and The Locks Tower are also in that general area but a bit removed for more privacy! Still in a walkable area to school but less noise / street traffic!

What Richmond Apt has the V best pool in town?

I used to live at the Locks Tower. The rooftop pool there is nothing special, but the views are spectacular. The building itself had a very industrial concrete feel that got tiresome after a little while though.
