First apartment in Richmond – Manchester vs. Scott’s Addition vs. Gateway? Looking for recommendations.

Hi everyone! I’m moving out on my own for the first time and work at VCU/MCV. I’m hoping to move in around **August** and have been touring apartments for weeks, but I’m starting to get decision fatigue. My budget is ideally around **$1,400–1,550 base rent**, or roughly **$1,650–1,700 all-in** if utilities are included. So far I’ve looked at: Marcella at Gateway Scott’s View The Riviera on Semmes The Commodore Eddy on the James The Overlook at City View Belmont on Broad Thing

… worth it. My only other requirement is a covered parking garage. Looking to move in around August. Apartments you actually enjoyed living in?

Belmont on Broad was great imo. Walkable to scotts when it’s nice, well maintained, has a gym/pool. Parking can be annoying if you come home late you may have to walk a ways from the back of the parking area but that’s literally my only complaint after living there for ~18 months
