Beckstoffer's Mill Loft Apartments are one-bedroom lofts carved out of a former Church Hill lumber mill, part of Better Housing Coalition's mix of new and renovated housing at 1207 North 28th Street. The apartments keep the mill's exposed brick and wood beams, with 12-foot-plus ceilings, skylights, finished concrete floors, wood cabinets and open shelving, plus a full-size washer and dryer in every home. The buildings were built to EarthCraft standards for lower energy bills and better indoor air quality, and have controlled access and off-street parking. Income restrictions apply; pets are welcome.
