The Attain in shockoe bottom

Hey im planning on moving from dallas to richmond i work at vcu. The rents are making me sweat 😥, how to explain people that researchers don’t earn enough. Anyway was looking for an apartment and found the attain, the price is attractive, i can walk to work, but the reviews are concerning. My other slightly expensive option is the collection at American tobacco. Any advice, on the general area and why they’re cheaper compared and is it worth living there. Btw if anyone has a spare bedroom
