What’s it like living in this area?

Around 2010-11 I lived at the apartment building they now call “The Hudson” in this area, on Commerce Rd. It was a rough time then (not sure about now), and I got out of that place as soon as my 6 month lease was up. Well like within days of moving out, 2 people were shot inside that building. Some thug let their pitbull shit in the hallway. These two guys told him to clean it up, so he pulled a gun and shot them. No idea what that area is like now though. I will add, that building was sup

Mall converted apartment complex or similar? "The Rise At Regency" or "The Current"

I live in Manchester and *want* to love it, but enjoying this side of town is largely dependent on where you live within the confines of "Manchester". Living at City View or The Current is going to make walking over to grab a slice of pizza or grab a bottle of liquor....or hitting up Benchtop or The Continental a lot easier than say, living at Hopper or The Hudson . Also, the lack of a a grocery store, gas station, pharmacy and dry cleaner really drags down the quality of life here.

Looking for studio/1 bedroom for July move $800-$1100 and general advice!

The Fan is generally fancier, older homes, whereas Shockoe Bottom is mostly converted warehouses and industrial buildings (which, personally, I think is a pretty cool vibe). You might be able to find some apartments in Manchester for your price range, but Shockoe Bottom and especially The Fan might be a little more challenging (that doesn't mean you shouldn't look, though!) The Hudson in Manchester has fairly spacious apartments for their price, though that does come with the caveat that you ca

2 bedroom 1 bathroom sublet available now through end of July

Hey I was renting a room The Hudson loft down in Manchester and was able to move into a house before my lease ended. I'm currently stuck paying out the lease unless someone is interested in taking it over, I'm sure they would allow you to renew the lease if you chose to when the end of July comes around. I have pictures of the empty unit for anyone interested. Thanks!

I know everyone is pretty distracted right now but anyone have any recommendations for apartments with all utilities included?
