Sound-isolated apartments or quieter housing near the Fan/MD/Forest Hill/Bellevue/Carytown?

I'm not recommending St. John's Wood because it is literally like living in hell. But the ONE upside is that you will NEVER hear your neighbors through those brick walls.

Is it safe to live at St. John's Wood?

Wait the giant roaches are native, outdoors, and pretty harmless. THe german ones are small, horrific, and v hard to get rid of. It makes sense that the American roaches would be all over st johns wood, which is heavily wooded, and that maintenance would rake leaves, their preferred habitat.

Is it safe to live at St. John's Wood?

I used to live there back in around 2017? It was safe ish. There definitely was a few incidents, but if you aren't out at weird hours or walking by yourselves, you ought to be OK. One of my neighbors had a gunshot through their house though. And a google search informs of me more shootings as well though. More concretely to my experience though -- OMG the giant fricking roaches. The big outdoor ones, which yes Richmond has all over, but I have never seen so many as right in front of my

For reference, my husband and I are a young couple currently living at the Willow Oaks Apartments. I've been doing some research on which apartments give us the best deal for the amount of space, and we want to stay on this side of the river. St. John's Wood came up, and the units and pricing look like what we want.
