Finding a safe, affordable, good apartment in rva

A good rule of thumb to follow is that people are more likely to feel compelled to post a bad review than a good one. Your budget is going to get you access to plenty of decent one-bedrooms in the Richmond area adjacent to campus, bus lines, and grocery stores. I might recommend the John Marshall Residences for your budget as they’re supposedly pretty tidy and water and electric seem to be included in the bill. Your best bet is going to be touring in person—the further away you get from the ci

Trail Lofts Apartments (Shockoe Bottom)

I lived off 18th street and in several of the surrounding apt communities. I currently live in the Fan/Museum District now. If he wants to remain close to the school but in a much better area, Id suggest The Edison, 8th and Main, Deco and The John Marshall . They are in the business financial district.🙂

Sublet - Studio - Apartment (Residences at the John Marshall)

Subletting period: April 1 - July 31st (Flexible!) \*This period could be extended to August 15th because I will be back in town on August 18th. Thoughts on the Edison Apartments and Residences at the John Marshall?

I’m looking for a short term lease (six months) in Richmond and these two buildings are shaping up to be the best options at this point. Anybody have any experience living at either of these buildings or any flags?

Not currently in the market for an apartment, but can we talk about how awful this is? $1450 for a 430sq.ft one bedroom in Shockoe Bottom and this is the floor plan

Oof. When I first moved here, I lived in a ground-level apartment at the John Marshall that only had one window, also in the living room - we didn't think it would be that bad, and ended up pretty miserable from it- turns out natural light is pretty important lol.
