Has anybody else been running into apartment complexes/property management companies forcing you to give your info to AI "identity verification" companies.
The corporate entity is Mission Rock Residential. I don't know if all of their properties do this, but the one I was looking at redirects out to "securecafe.com" without asking, and that's where the problems start. SecureCafe is a frontend for RentCafe, which is a subsidiary of Yardi. Yardi is one of the companies currently up on anti-trust and price-fixing charges for using software to drive up rent and real estate prices all over the country. Mission Rock Residential. Given how it's all set up, I genuinely don't think Mission Rock knows who they're really dealing with or what they've been up to. Both of the companies involved are easily verifiable as being hot garbage, and one of them has been caught taking steps to hide their involvement from their customers. EDIT: Corrected an accusation I was wrong about.
