I also lived in San Souci, now known as Southwood Apartments, from 2000-2008. My rent was $415 for a decent 1 bedroom unit. And the people that lived there were cool, I partied with plenty of my neighbors as well as other people in the neighborhood. Yeah, San Souci was the projects in those days, and La Mancha section too(the apartments with red roofs, in the middle section by the community center), and I can't even remember the original name for the townhouses behind the corner store. The Communities of Southwood is a large apartment and townhouse community in south Richmond, with its leasing center at 1200 Southwood Parkway off Broad Rock Boulevard, a short drive from downtown, the hospitals and Southside shopping. One-, two- and three-bedroom homes run from 568 to 1,200 sq ft with hardwood or designer plank flooring throughout, window treatments and all major appliances; select homes add a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. The grounds hold a swimming pool, two soccer fields, five playgrounds, a tennis court, a dog park and a picnic area. The leasing office is open seven days a week and se habla español. It is managed by Seminole Trail Management.
