Cant Escape Bugs

Rented with Metro Properties in multiple different apartments in Fan and Museum district over more than a decade. never had bug problems like you describe. Maintenance came often to preventively treat for bugs and responded quickly to complaints. Most annoying thing I dealt with was ants, which were quickly handled with ant baits. All of my buildings were privately owned older style garden apartments, but managed by Metro. Maybe the private ownership motivated them to go the extra mile. Good l

Moving

I’ve rented three different places from Metro Properties over ten years and I think they are pretty good for a rental company. They’re about average for prices, maybe a little lower sometimes. They’re a local company, but bigger so they’re both responsive and nice. The office is in Monroe ward and they have properties in that area as well as all over town.

Apartments you actually enjoyed living in?

it's been over a decade, but we had a good experience with Metro properties. rented a newly renovated apt in devils triangle, so never really needed them for anything...

DO NOT RENT FROM DOBRIN PROPERTIES LLC

Very standard Richmond renting experience. Had similar experiences with KRS/Great Richmond Rentals/anything with James Bristol associated with it, Metro properties, Dodson/Evernest, and Pollard&Bagby. Rented w dobrin years ago but it wasn't as bad as your experience,, another one to add to the shit list smh.

would it be possible to find a roach free apartment for $1800 or less around vcu?

Yes I would try metro properties if you’re a student- they’re not like top tier but I’ve rented from them multiple times and never had roaches. Black mold but not roaches lmao
